What an awe-inspiring Friday night, shining a beacon of hope in our community! A heartfelt mountain top shout out to John & Jenise from Hensons Food Service  https://www.facebook.com/p/Hensons-Food-Services-61566709303234/ for their generosity in providing scrumptious, hot meals of spaghetti, loaded chicken noodle soup, or chicken and gravy with mash potatoes and green beans, along with all the necessary paper products to make it a resounding success! Show them so love by contacting them for your next office luncheon, wedding, family get together or your corporate catering needs. I highly recommend them for exceptional food service and dedication to” beyond ordinary”!. You guys are a blessing and some amazing chefs.

We’re deeply grateful to our incredible volunteers who selflessly served 614 hot meals and dedicated over 135 hours to setting up, serving, and cleaning up. And to our amazing community, we’re thrilled that you could join us for a Friday evening treat to nourish both body and soul! 🙏. We also had the privilege to serve several of our on duty law enforcement officers. We are so grateful for their service and pray for their safety Thank you for this incredible opportunity to serve our community.
A very busy community service weekend for Little Daisy’s Closet. ALL the amazing volunteers served 348 families a nutritious and belly filling carload of goodies. A super shout out to our partner Jack Jones from BOPIC, our food hero, for purchasing the food. A big bang thank you to Lea Arcq and her team from Mnetal Health Assoc. Of Franklin & Fulton Counties  https://www.facebook.com/MentalHealthAssociationofFranklinandFultonCounties  for supplying volunteers hot cocoa and distributing mental health awareness flyers. A bodacious shout out thank you to Carlos Perez from Legendz Bar https://www.facebook.com/LegendzBar717and Boost Mobile of Chambersburg  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100076429118893  for donating and serving lunch to our volunteers. It was outstanding and I received many good compliments. A gargantuan thank you to the volunteers from Ministerio La Cosecha https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100070227771801. The volunteer representatives from Five Forks Church https://www.facebook.com/fiveforkschurch. We even had the grandson of one of our board members present from Germany. And a great big THANK YOU to all the volunteers from LDC, many of which pulled double duty this weekend.

Another epic FREE Community Fun Day in the books. 139 participants received 40 free tokens,a free drink and got to check out the newest attraction , the Haunted Maze. Excitement was in the air! Little Daisy’s Closet hosted a Community FREE FUN day at Cluggy’s Amusement Center Wednesday Sept 10, 2025 (school was closed) 11am until 1 pm. One ticket per child or adult provided 40 free game tokens, 1 free drink, a wristband for tunnels and bounce house (age 11 and under) or unlimited laser tag (ages 12 and up). We had 96 folks attend and it was enjoyable time watching the kiddos and adult laughing and have a great FREE funday. Thanks to Target Corporation for the funds to serve our community. Thanks to Target and LDC volunteers that made this a great day for our community!

Our volunteers Madeleine and Gina shared our mission with attendees. There was over 1000 in attendance, Great Job ladies.
Community Food Drive Sat July 26. Thanks to Jack Jones from Bopic for purchasing the food. Desi Ortiz, LDC Community Outreach Board Member for organizing event and providing volunteers pizza lunch. LDC for hosting and facilitating the event. 29 volunteers provided 119 hours serving 33,000lbs of food to 245 families in the 103° heat not to mention they spent over 3 hours on the 140°asphalt. Our volunteers are Rockstars for the community!
Enjoyed another day sharing LDC at New Life Thrift Store 15th Anniversary celebration. Got to see some friends and make some new ones and hand out “silly sand” to young and older alike. Thanks to the volunteers who helped man the booth.
National Night Out at Chambersburg Memorial Park Tuesday August 5. We handed out over
100 Backpacks and everyone had fun collecting prizes from the magic spinning wheel.

Provided over 153 student personal care bags to 11 schools in the Chambersburg School District.

Participated in the United Way Learn and Play Day event. Provided colored paper and markers for children to draw their hand and make a Mother’s day Card and offered squish balls to participants

Provided 100 Personal Care bags for our local veterans at Franklin County Military Share Program

Participated in the Franklin County United Way Winter Warmth Drive.

Fundraiser: Raffled off Quilts, donated by the Chambersburg Quilt Guild.
